Kidney Research UK Announced Official Games Charity Partner
The UK Corporate Games, the largest multi-sport festival for businesses, is delighted to announce Kidney Research UK as its Official Charity Partner for the 2025 and 2026 Games. This partnership highlights a shared mission to promote health and well-being while raising awareness and funds for life-saving kidney research.
Kidney Research UK is the leading charity in the UK focused on funding research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. Its vision is the day when everyone lives free from kidney disease and for more than 60 years the research it funds has been making an impact. There are 7.2 million people currently living with kidney disease on the UK and the numbers are growing – as are the factors contributing to it, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity, making the charity’s work more essential than ever.
Marc Shaw, Head of Community, Events and Volunteering at Kidney Research UK said: “We are excited to be partnering with UK Corporate Games and to have the opportunity to engage with all the participating organisations to support, educate and help prevent kidney disease in their workforces across the UK. We look forward to seeing you all at the games and supporting your organisations with your kidney health and engagement with the charity.”
As Official Charity Partner, Kidney Research UK will receive exposure to participants from hundreds of organisations. Throughout the partnership, UK Corporate Games and Kidney Research UK will collaborate on fundraising initiatives, pre-Games events and awareness campaigns.
Doug White, Director of the UK Corporate Games, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kidney Research UK on board as our Official Charity Partner for the 2025 and 2026 Games. Their mission to prevent and cure kidney disease is admirable and aligns strongly with our goal of promoting health and wellbeing. We hope this partnership marks the beginning of a successful long-term collaboration that continues to make a positive impact for years to come.”
The UK Corporate Games and Kidney Research UK share a vision for promoting well-being and community engagement. This partnership will spotlight Kidney Research UK’s mission, raising awareness of kidney disease and enabling the charity to form valuable relationships with corporate partners. Encouraging businesses to engage in fundraising, social responsibility and long-term support of kidney research.
The UK Corporate Games will take place 24-27 July in Leeds. Companies can enter teams to compete in 20 sports at venues across the city. For more information or to register a team, visit www.corporategamesuk.com.

About Kidney Research UK:
Kidney Research UK is the leading charity in the UK focused on funding research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. Its vision is the day when everyone lives free from kidney disease and for more than 60 years the research it funds has been making an impact. But kidney disease is increasing as are the factors contributing to it, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity, making the charity’s work more essential than ever.
Kidney Research UK works with clinicians and scientists across the UK. It collaborates with partners across the public, private and third sectors to prevent kidney disease and drive innovation to transform treatments.
Over the last ten years the charity has invested more than £65 million into research. It lobbies governments and decision makers to change policy and practice to ensure that more than 7.2 million people living with kidney disease in the UK have access to the most effective care and treatment, and to make kidney disease a priority.
Most importantly, the patient voice is at the centre of everything at Kidney Research UK. Patients, carers and families inspire and inform the charity’s mission and push it forward to make a difference and change the future of kidney disease.
The charity is based in Peterborough, UK.
