The UK Corporate Games 2024 added to list of major Leeds sport events

Leeds Sport Events – Looking for an unrivalled teambuilding event in Leeds for 2024?

Following a successful joint bid from Leeds City Council and the University of Leeds, last week we were delighted to announce Leeds as the host city for the UK Corporate Games 2024

Since our announcement, there has been an incredible reaction from both businesses in the city of Leeds and surrounding areas. The dates are 25-28 July, therefore we have an eventful 9 months of preparations which will also include a Games Launch in the city, date to be confirmed.

Hosting the UK Corporate Games in Leeds is the perfect opportunity to showcase Leeds’s strengths as both a passionate sporting city and a brilliant place to do business.

The UK Corporate Games will be a major Leeds sporting event for local businesses to look forward to in 2024. The Games will bring together thousands of participants from hundreds of organisations, for a weekend of sport and celebrations. The sport programme for the weekend currently consists of 19 sports that include badminton, basketball, golf, esport, tennis, table tennis, softball, cycling, dragon boat racing, netball, soccer 6’s, soccer 7’s, soccer 11’s, tenpin, touch, running, poker, karting and volleyball. The Games are open to all for the benefit of all and encourage people to get active, try new sports and get back into sport.  The weekend also includes the Welcome Festival and fancy-dress Great Games Party.

It will be a city-wide Games supported by the world-class sporting facilities Leeds has to offer. Including the lively Leeds dock for the Dragon Boat Racing, new Bodington Football Hub for the Soccer 7’s, Brownlee Centre for softball, soccer 6’s touch and the Bodington cycle circuit for cycling, John Charles Centre for Sport hosting the Tennis and Run, and the Edge and Gryphon centres welcoming the Badminton and Volleyball. This event is the perfect opportunity to promote health and wellbeing through sport, network as well as raise brand awareness.  The Games encourages teambuilding with colleagues from different offices, departments or those who have dissimilar job roles that wouldn’t usually interact during work schedules. Sport is a recognised tool for inclusion and embraces equality and diversity, with a variety of sports to choose from the Games offering something for everyone.

The Games has a long successful history of empowering teamwork and building relationships for companies and its employees. These include Places for People, Insight, RDC, Lloyds Banking Group, Safran, Barclays, Vodafone, IBM, Accenture, Stryker, to name a few. The entry fee for the 2024 Games will remain at £89pp, however, an early entry discount is available at £80pp for any entries purchased before the end of October.
